Vehicle Tracking and Navigation

A real-time vehicle tracking system I developed on Raspberry Pi, bringing live GPS, interactive maps, navigation and telemetry into one interface.

01 — Overview

I developed this IoT-based real-time vehicle tracking and navigation solution as an embedded system running on Raspberry Pi. Live GPS data, an interactive map and real-time telemetry come together in one user interface.

02 — Need and scope

I wanted to bring vehicle location and status data into one clear interface on an embedded device, rather than having to follow separate information sources.

Location, maps and telemetry on one screen.
03 — Scope of my contribution
01 / 03 — Scope

Presenting vehicle location, navigation and status information together on an embedded device.

04 — Technical approach

I connected hardware-level data collection with the user interface. I optimized the interface displaying speed, signal strength, battery status and sensor data in real time for smooth operation on the embedded system.

05 — Notes from the project

I considered data collection and interface performance together, focusing on keeping map and telemetry views smooth while maintaining up-to-date information from the hardware.

06 — Output and current state

I developed the Raspberry Pi system combining live GPS, interactive maps, navigation and real-time telemetry. I individually carried out every stage of the solution displaying speed, signal strength, battery status and sensor data.
